Frequently Asked Questions

What should I consider before getting a Goldendoodle?

Consider your ability to provide time, consistency, training, and grooming needs. Goldendoodles are intelligent, loving, and people-focused. They thrive in homes where they receive daily love, attention, and interaction. To keep their coats healthy and comfortable, they require professional grooming every 4 to 6 weeks, along with regular brushing at home. These dogs also need consistent socialization and mental stimulation to stay happy and well-balanced. In return, they give unmatched love, loyalty, and companionship.

How do I reserve a puppy with Honeycomb Doodles?

To reserve a puppy, please complete an application and, once accepted, submit a non-refundable $400 deposit. This reserves one of our puppies and as we get closer to our go-home day you may pick your exact puppy (usually 6-8 weeks). Puppies are reserved in order of approved applications and deposit dates.

What vaccinations and other medical treatments do puppies receive?

Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, probiotics, and immune-supporting vitamins. They will also be microchiped before going home. This ensures they leave us healthy, strong, and ready to thrive in their new homes.

Do you guarantee a non-shedding or hypoallergenic coat?

No breeder can fully guarantee coat traits. Many of our puppies are allergy-friendly, but shedding and coat type vary. Most Goldendoodles are considered allergy-friendly and tend to shed less than many other breeds.

What does my puppy go home with?

Each puppy goes home with:

When do puppies go home?

Puppies will go home starting at 8 weeks as long as their health testing is cleared and certified by our licensed vet and their fee is paid in full.

What happens if I cannot keep my puppy for some reason?

We offer a lifetime rehoming policy. Puppies must be returned to us or placed through our help, ensuring they always have a safe, loving home. You will be given any rehoming fee we collect. You agree to not "sell" your puppy as we will find him/her a qualifed new home.

We will give your puppy an excellent head start on potty training through routines and foundational habits such as potty area exposure, bell ringing, gentle crate familiarity, and short periods of independence as age appropriate.  We will send you home with information to continue on with the training plan we have started.

What about potty training?
What is desensitization and enrichment training

We intentionally introduce our puppies to a variety of age-appropriate sights, sounds, textures, and experiences during their early development. This may include household noises (vacuucm, doorbell, knocking, hair dryer, children playing, etc), grooming routines, nail trimming, different surfaces, toys, gentle crate exposure, and everyday family activity to help build confidence and resilience. We also focus on environmental sounds such as thunderstorms, fireworks, traffic noise, car rides, etc. This early exposure will help immensly in your puppies future development.

What health guarantee do the puppies come with?

Every puppy comes with a two-year written health guarantee covering life-altering genetic conditions.

What are the puppy prices?

Each puppy is $2,000 regardless of gender or coat color. A $400 non-refundable deposit is required to be on the puppy selection list. Puppy picks do not begin until 6 weeks of age.

Why do I have to wait until 6 weeks to select my puppy?

Around 6-8 weeks of age puppies are starting showing a lot more of their personality traits, temperment, coat quality, energy level and confidence. Approved buyers will pick their pups in our of their application and deposit date to be fair. You will be given a number of where you are on the list of approved buyers.

When can I visit with the pupies in person?

You may visit with the puppies starting at 4 weeks of age. Group photos and videos will be available on our Facebook Page, Honeycomb Doodles, so please like and follow for updates and photos.
